An exclusively formulated oil is applied with a warm stone press, followed by an abdominal mask made of natural clays and warming herbs/spices and finished with a full-length (pubic bone to ribcage) binding. While many companies advertise postpartum binding as a way "get your body back," this is more about the emotional benefits of giving the wearer permission to begin their healing journey. It is the punctuation at the end of the birthing journey, a grounding practice that calls the spirit back "from the other side of the veil."
Also known as vaginal or yoni steaming and described by my previous clients as an internal spa, this treatment offers an unique opportunity to reflect upon the ancient feminine wisdom of the receiver's body. Each treatment includes an initial needs assessment, individually curated herbs to encourage balance and well-being, guided mediation (if desired), warming tea served during the service, an abdominal oil product demonstration, at-home follow-up care instructions. Packages available in increments of 4, 9, 12, 15, 18 treatments and may be recommended by your practitioner based on your individual needs and goals.
Rebirth Floral Bath
A dried floral formula mixed for its emotional and spiritual properties is added to a herbal/milk bath. This experience can include rewriting a birth/breastfeeding story or simply to just honor the end of one journey and the beginning of another. There is a lot of real neuroscience behind this but suffice to say, it is incredibly powerful to experience and witness. New mother (and baby if desired) enjoy the healing benefits of each ingredient, specially formulated for physical and emotional release. Ceremony includes lace gown rental and can be upgraded to include photographic storytelling.
Ideal for closure after a traumatic birth, breastfeeding or newborn/postpartum experiences.
Also known as a Mother Shower or Mother Blessing, a pregnancy honoring ceremony is inspired from traditional Navajo Blessingway ceremonies, as a more parent-centered approach to celebrating pregnancy. Instead of baby gear, gifts for the mother often include items to honor the pregnancy or postpartum journey such as affirmation cards, prayer flags or beads, oils or herbs, crystals or worry stones. Positive words are shared by all, meant to encourage and uplift the guest of honor and beads are given by each guest to represent them, their love, their relationship, their encouragement, their support. These beads are often strung in the birthing place to be used as a focal point during labor. Henna is often included in these gatherings, inspired by Indian celebrations. The gestating belly is decorated with symbolic art and guests might receive a small design as well as a binding of yarn on their hands or feet to remind them to pray, send love/light and positive affirmations for the upcoming birth and symbolize their connection to each other. ⠀
I call this "emotional nesting," as it honors the journey behind and ahead, allows time for bonding and recognizing the baby and pregnancy, offers a safe space to process fears and builds a interconnected network of loved ones who can be called upon for help and love after Baby arrives. ⠀
