but it doesn't have to be lonely. You see, as a military spouse and homeschooling mama of three, I have had my fair share of lonely nights, days that felt like they would never end, tears and mom guilt. But I am also a Gatherer of Information, A Researcher, and an Enneagram 8 (which means I laugh in the face of "can't.")

So I set myself to work training, working, learning, researching, pivoting, and reformulating what it means to serve my family and yours from a heart-centered place of peace. Passionate about my calling, I hold many titles and certifications that allow me to breath life into families in my community, but the title I hold most dear is MAMA.

It might sound like a stretch, but hear me out. Preparing for your amazing birth includes:

  1. Researching and being confident in your choices and your human rights as a birthing person

  2. Finding and interviewing providers who practice in alignment with your personal  philosophies and values (and discovering what those philosophies and values are if you don't already know)

  3. And  learning to use your voice and advocate for yourself and your baby. Advocacy a skill you will need to be confident in your entire mothering journey.

The fact is, birth is your first opportunity to mother your child.
If you are a first time mother, childbirth preparation IS motherhood preparation.

If you already have children, birth classes can be a form of self-care, allowing you to focus on your current pregnancy, the baby growing inside of you, to address your fears, questions and concerns, to spend quality time with your partner and to prepare mentally, physically, and spiritually for your next birth.
For you, childbirth preparation is about filling up your own cup so you can pour into your family.

"Being healthy and low risk will not only help you in the delivery room, but you will feel better during pregnancy, birth and recover more quickly postpartum. You will learn the how-tos in class and build a great physical foundation for your pregnancy, birth and baby."
